Qualities
I am a dedicated and motivated individual with excellent organizational skills. I am always Focused on excellence in job performance, meeting organizational goals, and projections. My well-developed oral and writing skills allow me to present myself as an innovative problem-solver with strong planning skills. It is also important to mention that I thrive on new challenges and have yet in my life allowed a challenge to get the better of me, making me well known as being goal oriented.
Studying Engineering
I have always been interested in pursuing a career in engineering; in fact I spent my entire high school career focusing on courses that would prepare me for the challenges I would face in this field. These courses I took include business computers, web design, engineering graphics, and technology systems. These classes as it turns out would show me the disciplines used in engineering, which became vital to me in my career performance. I decided that engineering was the career for me after my freshman year going into sophomore year. The reason for this time elapsed in making a decision was due to the choice of either Electrical or Industrial Engineering. After coming to the decision to pursue Industrial Engineering I immediately went on the offensive in order to show my dedication by taking higher level Industrial Classes, joining our own professional organization, and joining a team of Industrial Engineers in a department led project working on our bus system on campus.
Reliability
Opportunities given to me throughout my life have allowed me to really take on new challenges in a way that I feel give me an advantage to times where a steady head and clear state of mind equals success under pressure. An example can be brought out to a time in the workplace where my youth was looked passed, but was a detail I overcame to complete a high profile assignment. The situation that unfolded took place at AUTOAIR freight transportation company and involved my supervisor out handling paperwork, and several other employees retrieving and shipping freight. This left me the youngest in the company with the responsibility of loading up a fully loaded Boeing 747 with just one other employee operating the forklift. It was my duty to load the plane and strap the cargo down tightly while trying to convince three pilots of my credibility being so young. It took a lot of work and convincing but this shipment in question made it on schedule and our company remained credible in what we do.
Life Outside of School
This point in my life is full of enjoyment, and my coarse schedule allows me to enjoy it that much more. I work Monday-Friday anywhere between 9:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and after classes I have the options of spending time with friends. The activities I enjoy right now include working out, or playing basketball with my friends, or enjoying the nightlife by relaxing while enjoying music and dancing.
